This is a DIY midi drum controller built utilizing the Teensy microcontroller as the main component. The microcontroller allows the drums to communicate via a USB-MIDI bridge. In this demo video it is triggering samples via Ableton.

The physical build is completely custom made of rubber pads, foam, and wood. The signals are generated using piezo sensors placed within the custom pads.
